The Toronto Star published an article on 12th May about the newly named Robert Bateman Urban Nature Trail. The trail follows part of the Cedarvale ravine. The Star’s map showed “Cedarvale Ravine Wetlands” as a feature. From the location shown, it is clear that this designation refers to the more recently city-constructed wetland opposite the tennis courts. In fact, there are more extensive and “wetter” wetlands east of the Bathurst St bridge. The photo below shows last year’s cat-tails still standing in these wetlands.
